My little Valentine...

My little princess...she insisted on wearing the crown to church today. And since it's Valentines she wanted to wear a "big pink dress." I think she looked pretty darn cute

My Mom throws a pretty good party. Tonight we had a birthday/valentines party. She planned a scavenger hunt in the house and it was tough! She wrote all of our names on hearts and cut them in half. We were divided up into teams and each of us had to find the other half of our heart. The team that found the other half of their hearts first won "fabulous prizes." The little kids had just as much fun as the big kids :)
Garrett holding up his "fabulous prize" of .... deodorant!
The yummy combo birthday cake for Garrett, McKenzie and Ryan. It was Ryan's idea to put the Jesus statue over the cake. Some of us laughed but my mom didn't think it was so great...
Then an intense game of domino's started up...

Cute baby Ellie :)

Great party mom!

Okay, so I technically should be prepping for a business trip. I should be packing. I should be prepping my client presentations. I should be going to bed early. But instead I'm browsing around online, playing on Pinterest and blogging. If only I could get paid for this, ha ha.

Oh, and I got bangs.

HGTV Dream Home

This weekend has been BUSY! Have you heard of the HGTV Dream Home? They build one every year in a different location and then give it away. Yup, they just give it away. Along with a car. And $500,000 CASH! Well this year they built the house up in Heber. HGTV allows the builders to offer public tours of the home as long as a local charity benefits from the proceeds. The Utah chapter of Make-A-Wish was selected as the charity! So of course they have needed volunteers to help direct the tours and such. I of course jumped at the chance! Not only does it feel good to spend some of my free time volunteering & helping grant the wishes of some really awesome kids, but I get to hang out in a really beautiful house and meet some nice (and some strange...and some really strange) people all day. It's really been awesome.

And now for the plug...

Tours are offered Thursday/Friday from 12-5 and Saturday/Sunday from 10-6 throughout the month of February. The cost is $15 per person and all the money goes to Make-A-Wish. Kids 3 and under are free, but have to be carried throughout the home. (Honestly, if you can come without the kiddo-s I suggest it. They don't necessarily think walking around looking at homes is very exciting) Yes, you can take pictures in the house.
The tours fill up pretty fast, especially on Saturday so you will want to register & reserve your spot online at
http://www.dreamhome.kintera.org/

And you should definitely come on the 18th or 19th cause those are the other two days I'll be up there volunteering. :)
