Ah memories

So I copied this from another blog, and wasn't really planning to, but I've been cleaning out the boxes is Smoosh's room and have come across some great old pictures. So I decided I would add this to my blog. Please post a memory- email me a pic if you have one, that would be even cooler!

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Catching up . . .

In case you were wondering about my lack of posts lately its cause I don't have any pictures to go along with them. I like to read things with pictures, it's more fun that way! Anyway, we had a great 4th of July. Scotty was in town with his family so we went to the Kaysville Parade and the Bee's game and watched the fireworks after the game. It was lots of fun. Then on the 5th we had a Sowell Family BBQ in my backyard. Dad and Joni were up from Mesquite (Thanks again for all your help setting up!!!) so most of the family was there. We were missing the CA branch of the Sowell's (Todd and Liz's fam, but Tara represented) and the NY branch (Ryan and Des) but it was still great to have most of the family there. We really do not get together often enough. We used to have a family dinner once a month. Well, get ready Utah Sowell's cause I'm starting up the tradition again! Maybe not every single month, but at least once per quarter. I did get a few pics of that day, so they are posted below. I especially love the one of my dad and grandpa. Once Scott gets me the pics he took I will post more . . . lucky you, ha ha!

The Sowell Family BBQ Chris and Shaelyn
Dad and Jeff- the oldest and the youngest

Half of Uncle Jay, Uncle Jeff, dad, the back of Grandma and Aunt Nancy
Keltsey snoozin' on the lawn . . . now that she's a college student I guess we should get used to her partying all night and sleeping all day, eh?
Aunt Nancy, the back of Uncle Jay, Grandma and Grandpa
Joni, Scott, Shaelyn and Shila
Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jay
4th of July at the Bees Game

Nolan and Grandma DeEtte
Me and Josh- I think someone needs to teach him how to smile properly
Scott and Shila
Haley- who falls asleep at a baseball game???
Chris and Shaelyn
Okay so I guess I had a few more pics than I thought, but there are tons more I promise! Does that scare you? Probably but that's okay. :)

Gifts Galore!

I had my first shower last Tuesday with my dad's side of the family. It was a joint shower- baby and bridal (only in Utah, I swear! But it least the mother of the bride wasn't the one having the baby!). Me and Tara got tons of great stuff. Let's just say Smoosh is going to be one stylish baby! I don't have the pics yet cause I didn't take my camera with me, but I wanted to give a shout-out to my Aunt Kathy for throwing a great party and everyone that attended- THANK YOU!!!

"Work! Work! Work! Big piles of it and the boss is a jerk." ~Jimmy Buffet

Okay, so my boss isn't really a jerk . . . he's pretty nice most of the time. But most of you know that I don't LOVE my job. I know I've posted about this before, but anyway- not here to complain. I'm just looking for some opportunities to make some $$$ with a flexible, simple, at home job that I can do once Smoosh gets here. I'm looking into medical transcription so if any of you do that, or know someone who does, I really deserve to talk to them and find out more about it. Or, I am open to other possibilities so if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know!!! Thanks buddies!
